Butterfly lifecycle with pasta

I love art! Didn't kindergarten used to be all about art projects?? I miss those days. Now we're lucky if we get to integrate art into class a few days a week. Bummer. Well, enough of my soapbox. It is what is is.

This week we made the life-cycle of the butterfly with pasta! I always love seeing the kids totally "get" the concept of metamorphosis through something as simple as holding pasta in their hands. Here are a couple of examples I sent home today. aren't they cute??

Britta, Little Noah learned the life cycle of a butterfly in school recently and looked at the picture here. He explained what all the pics were, and told me that your kiddo's chrysallis wasn't quite right. What a know it all! I was gonna hold him out of kindergarten a year, but on second thought..... :-) Glad your little ones are enjoying projects. That certainly is the best part of learning at that age. :-)
