This week we had an art literacy lesson taught by a parent volunteer. The artist was Salvador Dali, who is best known for his surrealist art of melting clocks. Talk about an interesting topic to approach with kindergartners! Plus, it was a little hard (ok, a LOT) for the kids to make the numbers on the clock out of tiny pieces of molding material. The lesson was k-5, and as much as the art director thought it would be great for kinders, it was not quite developmentally appropriate for their tiny hands. But, it was still fun!
