Word Wall

I've joined Ms. M's word wall linky party. Here is our word wall in kindergarten! Each week we make the new word as a class. The copy that goes up on the board is a laminated copy I made previously. Each summer I dye cut thousands of letters (no joke!) to prepare for the school year. I make all of the letters for 105 students. It's a big job, but it is so nice to have them ready!!

I love how big your words are. Very easy to read. Thanks for participating.

Yup. Big is good!!

I like the way the words can be seen from across the room.

Wow! What a job to die cut all of those letters! Could there be an easier way? Perhaps giving the kids letter tiles that you make on the computer? You could have the kids cut out a word a week, mix them up and re-assemble? You must be very organized! I would never be able to take on such a HUGE job!!

That's a good idea! Really, it's not as bad as it can seem if you plan ahead in making them. I am so blessed to have an amazingly organized team! This system was in place for years before I came, and then when one of my team members retired last year I took over. It is so nice to have the letters available and then when we need them more something else we have them!
